Diabetes Management App, Klinio, Shares the Most Popular Recipes Saved by Patients with Diabetes

The diabetes management app, Klinio, has identified the most popular meal options that patients with diabetes consume in their everyday life, helping them manage their condition.

Klinio is now sharing these recipes with consumers.

Kristina Zalnieraite, who heads nutrition with Klinio, says these are meals that are proven to help patients with diabetes who need to keep their glucose under control.

“Our data team went through more than 20 thousand Klinio meal and recipes, looking for the most saved items by users,” said Zalnieraite. “These are meals and recipes that our users say they love the most. And now we’re sharing some of these recipes with everyone who wants to get healthier with a meal plan that actually tastes good.”

A recent Klinio survey found “bad eating habits” was the behavior preventing patients from successfully managing their diabetes. That same survey found carb management and sugar cravings are the top two biggest obstacles for patients trying to manage their diabetes.

Zalnieraite says these recipes will not only help patients with diabetes, but are also valuable for anyone watching their calories or carb intake.

“These recipes were originally created for patients with diabetes and prediabetes, but everyone can benefit from these healthy recipes,” said Zalnieraite. “If you’re watching your weight or carb intake, these meals will help you too. They are easy to make and follow on a daily basis, and taste great.”

Erco Proud to Become Top Choice for Electric Panel Replacements in Quebec

Laval, Quebec – When an electric panel, the very engine of the home, celebrates its 20th anniversary by packing up, then Erco's professional team of technicians will be more than happy to get your life switched back on in no time.

The Laval-based experts, led by company owner Eric Gagne, are now the preferred choice for residents and businesses across Quebec to replace electric panels safely and install new ones.

If your panel is full, you see rust, notice a weird smell/heat, or your board is on its last legs, then it is time to take action. But most home and business owners can remain unsure as to what to do. Erco will have the pleasure to enlighten you on the subject.

The electrical panel is an essential element in construction. It distributes electricity throughout the house and protects you against accidents caused by a short circuit. Thus, any failure of the latter could significantly compromise the safety of your home and family.

Erco's team are on hand to advise you on the options for replacement if your old system has been in place for more than ten years, as some of the internal components could have worn out over time, and failures may arise at any time.

Equally, when you're buying a new house, it is strongly recommended that you replace the electrical panel as a priority as you don't know what the old one went through or its quality.

Additionally, if you plan to replace your electric appliances, such as heating, refrigerator, or TV, consider installing a new electrical panel as the old one risks not supporting these new devices.

"Your satisfaction is important to us, so we understand the importance of offering a personalized service," said Mr Gagne. "To ensure your comfort and safety, we focus only on electrical panels, helping to greatly limit fire risk and ensure your electricity consumption meets your expectations."

Erco's team has the experience – having completed more than 3,000 projects across their 15 years. Their experts are licensed and qualified, focusing on maintaining a high standard of work quality and customer satisfaction.

Customers across Quebec have also widely appreciated their services. "Great service. Eric was professional and reliable in every step of the service. I highly recommend," commented client Jillianne Gignac.

Denmark Proposes Expansion to Allergenic Fragrance Rules for Toys

SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is reminding toy manufacturers that Denmark has announced a draft executive order to update its rules regarding toys.

Toys safety is regulated in Denmark under Executive Order No. 1800 of December 3, 2020. This implements Directive 2009/48/EC, the so-called European Union (EU) Toy Safety Directive (TSD), including amendments in:

  • Directive (EU) 2019/1922 – strengthening limits for aluminum migration
  • Directive (EU) 2019/1929 – formaldehyde restrictions in toys intended for children under 36 months of age and toys intended to be placed in the mouth

It regulates 66 allergenic fragrances in toys, under Point 11 of Part III in Annex.

  • Prohibited list – 55 allergenic fragrances are prohibited but their presence is allowed provided these are technically unavoidable under good manufacturing practice (GMP)and each fragrance is no more than 100 mg/kg
  • Labeling list – 11 allergenic fragrances must be listed on the toy, an affixed label, the packaging or in an accompanying leaflet, if their concentrations are greater than 100 mg/kg

The draft executive order, circulated by the World Trade Organization (WTO) in February 2022, transposes two Directives – (EU) 2020/2088 and (EU) 2020/2089 – into Denmark’s national law on toy safety.

If adopted, it will repeal Executive Order No. 1800 and make two important changes to the requirements governing allergenic fragrances:

  • Prohibited list – expand the number of entries to 58
  • Labeling list – add 61 new entries

Stakeholders should be aware of the following dates in the draft document:

  • June 1, 2022 – adoption
  • July 1, 2022 – comes into force
  • July 5, 2022 – new allergenic fragrance requirements come into force
