EnSuite Cloud ReVue Upgraded to Support Latest CAD Formats

Allows real-time engineering collaboration using latest 2D & 3D CAD formats.

Farmington Hills, MI, USA | March 28, 2022 -- CCE, a leading provider of advanced CAD interoperability solutions, announced its recent release of EnSuite-Cloud ReVue that allows users to collaborate using latest versions from all major CAD formats.

EnSuite-Cloud ReVue is a revolutionary web-based real-time engineering collaboration software that allows users to collaborate using the latest versions of all major 2D and 3D CAD formats. What sets it apart from other collaboration and screen-sharing applications is the ability for participants to take local control of the CAD model for their independent review and analysis, without disrupting the meeting for everyone else or compromising intellectual property. Users can collaborate using the latest CAD versions from CATIA V5, 3DXML, NX, Creo, SOLIDWORKS, Inventor, Solid Edge, JT, Parasolid and glTF among others.

“The success we’ve had with EnSuite-Cloud ReVue since its initial launch last year has a lot to do with our ability to keep pace with the changes in the CAD formats and keeping our software up-to-date at all times. With CAD companies moving to subscription licensing, end users adopt new CAD versions a lot sooner and with regularity than before. Its incumbent upon us, especially as a key design collaboration tool, to always support these latest versions,” said Vinay Wagle, CCE’s V.P. of Sales and Marketing.

Besides enhancements related to supporting latest CAD versions, there have been significant number of product interface updates that will provide users with a richer user experience. This is in continuation of recent updates earlier this year related to the introduction of “SmartPicking” and “SmartMeasure” tools aimed at making the collaboration sessions significantly more efficient.

Since its general availability earlier this year, EnSuite-Cloud ReVue has received rave reviews from leading industry analysts in publications like Lifecycle Insights, Engineering.com, MCADCafe, Digital Engineering among others.

Key benefits of using EnSuite-Cloud ReVue for secure online meetings for engineering collaboration over typical screen-sharing apps like Zoom, Teams and Webex include:

* Independent Local control of collaboration session without compromising intellectual property
* High-quality 3D rendering with zero loss of fidelity of viewable data
* Natural collaboration experience without any overhead for data or session preparation
* Ultra-low latency allowing for excellent response/refresh rates
* Low bandwidth usage allowing for easy sharing of large CAD models
* Screen-sharing option for non-CAD documents for richer collaboration

All new users can Test Drive ReVue to evaluate the product using just their Google or Microsoft emails. Users can visit the EnSuite-Cloud ReVue page for additional product and pricing information.

Mixed Mental Health Announces New Online Life Coaching Services for Mixed Race Women

According to a report by the Pew Research Center, "mixed" is the fastest-growing racial category in the U.S. With this growth comes an increasing need for resources that cater to mixed-race individuals. Mixed Mental Health is proud to announce the launch of its new online life coaching services that engage mixed-race women and help them integrate the fantastic and beautiful pieces of who they are, build confidence, and crush their goals.

In addition, they offer counseling sessions designed to inspire, motivate and help mixed-race women realize that they have the potential to be great. Unfortunately, mixed-race women often bury their identities, feeling like they don’t fit into any community, and cast aside the "real" them, abandoning their self-journey. Losing their way is consistently happens as they get lost in the layers of societal expectations. Some of the challenges that mixed-race women face include:

  • Systemic racism with their family of origin
  • Uncertainty of safety with others
  • Navigating womanhood in an oppressive society
  • A deep sense of loneliness due to the lack of a nurturing society
  • A heightened sense of empathy that causes you to "feel" more and burn out regularly

Tackling these issues and helping women deal with them directly requires a unique perspective that aligns with these experiences. Unfortunately, a mono-racial mental health professional doesn’t have the tools to help mixed-race women with their specific needs. To begin healing those who are lost, the therapist must understand the experiences of mixed-race women and how they can take a toll. Brittany George, the founder of Mixed Mental Health, says: "The purpose of her guidance is not to tell anyone who you are, but to initiate (or fuel) the fire in them that wants to find out."

Through their services, mixed-race women find a place where they can visualize their dreams and make them a reality. Mixed Mental Health takes care of the logistics and offers a listening ear, understanding heart, and experienced hand to help on the journey. Brittany has created a place where all aspects of identity are welcome.

By creating a grand haven to connect with their guide weekly, Brittany provides mixed-race women a place to unpack their experiences, find better ways to manage stress, and express their emotions confidently and safely. Through self-healing, the seeds of curiosity can push through the fear of saying "yes" to new opportunities. By releasing one's full potential, mixed-race women can live one entire life instead of a thousand half ones.

Mixed Mental Health offers unique therapeutic sessions that help individuals achieve identity clarity. In addition, through the online program, like-minded women participate in empathetic community therapy. To learn more and begin the journey, please visit their website.

Nye and Company will Hold An Online Only Chic and Antique Estate Treasures Auction Wednesday April 13

Nye & Company Auctioneers’ online Chic and Antique Estate Treasures auction slated for Wednesday, April 13th, features nearly 500 lots, a carefully curated mix of fine and decorative arts spanning the 18th century to the present day, including an exceptionally rare group of American photography. The auction will begin promptly at 10 am Eastern time.

The group of historical American photography includes what is believed to be one of less than a half dozen known sets of pictures documenting the Liberty Bell’s transcontinental 1915 tour of the United States. This symbol of our nation’s freedom was an incredibly popular attraction at the turn of the 20th century. In fact, it was estimated that nearly 5 million people saw the bell on its trip by train out West and an equal number saw it on its return trip back to Philadelphia. Its popularity had no bounds and this rare set of photographs is an exceptional historical archive.

There is also a circa 1910 collection of glass slides, negatives and magic lantern slides depicting various scenes in the Canadian Rockies. Some of the images appear in Benjamin W. Mitchell’s book Trail Life in the Canadian Rockies. The sale also features a large group of albumen prints of New York City and its environs from about circa 1885. Many of the images and views have never been seen before and offer a rare glimpse into our past and the grandeur of the gilded age.

Not to be out done, there is a nice selection of 20th century negatives depicting two of America’s most beloved celebrities: the legendary movie star Marilyn Monroe, from photos taken on the set of the 1954 film River of No Return, plus negatives of the king of rock ‘n’ roll, Elvis Presley.

The depth and breadth of the fine art in this auction comprises works from the 18th century right up through the 20th century. Highlights include a wonderfully framed and expansive oil painting depicting a home on the Great Bay of Portsmouth, New Hampshire by Frank Henry Shapleigh. This work captures the grandness of the coast of New Hampshire during the late 19th century.

Walt Kuhn and Bernard Cathelin created beautiful floral still lifes, both perfect reminders of spring. Charles Camoin is represented by a Fauvist cityscape. Giovanni Boldini is also featured with his oil titled The Music Lesson. There is also a superb watercolor by Juluisz Kossak of General Kosciuszko, the Polish-Lithuanian military leader who helped the U.S. colonists win the Revolutionary War.

For those who prefer more contemporary works, there are a couple street signs by the famed street artist “Banksy,” plus a gem of a drawing by Keith Haring. Continuing on the heels of our success with Haring untitled subway drawings, there are two being offered in this sale. The self-taught/outsider artist, Purvis Young is also represented in this sale with a few paintings being deaccessioned from the NAMITS Collection.

Decorative arts also make up a strong component of the auction. Similar to the fine arts, the furniture and objets d’art range from works created in the 18th century through the 21st century. Highlights include an early set of twelve German Rococo carved mahogany dining chairs, once in the collection of Esmond Bradley Martin, the great-grandson of steel magnate Henry Phipps.

For those who prefer American furniture, there is set of five New York Chippendale dining chairs descended in the family of Cornelia Haring Jones (1741-1821) and Samuel Jones (1734-1819) of New York City and Oyster Bay, Long Island. The sixth chair of this set resides in the Yale University Art Gallery. There are also a couple pieces of Samuel Yellin wrought-iron, which come directly from the family of one of the foremen of the Yellin Metalworks.

Coming out of a New Jersey collection are a pair of Classical mahogany swivel-top card tables attributed to Isaac Vose and Son of Boston. English furniture is also well represented with a bookcase marked Gillow & Co., and a mahogany wardrobe marked Osborne Cottage, 1872, the home of Queen Victoria’s daughter, Princess Beatrice.

If you prefer the Belle Epoque period of the late 19th /early 20th century, this sale will not disappoint. There are a number of pieces coming from a New Jersey collection that include a superb selection of ormolu mounted Paris porcelains, French bronzes and Lalique glass objects. Complementing this material nicely is a fine selection of silver from well-known makers and firms coming from a Mid-Western collection.

Real time Internet bidding and absentee bidding will be provided by LiveAuctioneers.com, Invaluable.com, Bidsquare.com and the Nye & Company website: www.nyeandcompany.com. Telephone bidding will also be available on a limited basis.

People can bid in absentia and online. An online preview is being held from March 30th thru April 13th at www.nyeandcompany.com, www.liveauctioneers.com, www.bidsquare.com and www.invaluable.com. ISACAs 8th Annual Cybersecurity Survey Shows an Increase in Unfilled Cybersecurity Positions and Lack of Qualified Talent in India

India ranks second only to the US in most security threats on cloud, followed by Australia, Cannada and Brazil (according to McCafe Enterprise Advanced Threat Research Report).  Cybersecurity skills demand in the country is slated to grow, reflecting the global trend of an increasing skills gap in cybersecurity and a workforce unable to meet industry demand. The eighth annual cybersecurity survey from reputed global IT association ISACA, unveiled in India today, reveals an increase in cybersecurity hiring and retention challenges in the country.

According to ISACA’s new survey report, State of Cybersecurity 2022: Global Update on Workforce Efforts, Resources and Cyber Operations, sponsored by Looking Glass Cyber Solutions, organisations are struggling more than ever with hiring and retaining qualified cybersecurity professionals and managing skills gaps. This year’s survey results in India depict that 60% of the organisations have unfilled cybersecurity positions and that 42% report their organisation’s cybersecurity team is understaffed. Even more concerning is that 59% believe that less than half of their applicants are well qualified for the position they are applying.

Hiring and retention challenges

As in past years, filling cybersecurity roles and retaining talent continues to be a challenge for many enterprises. Sixty-three percent of global respondents indicate they have unfilled cybersecurity positions and India reflects the same trend with 60% unfilled positions. Sixty-two percent of India-based respondents say it takes three to six months for their organisations to find qualified cybersecurity candidates for open positions, compared to 47% globally. For respondents in India, the top factors hiring managers use to determine whether a candidate is qualified are prior hands-on cybersecurity experience (77%), credentials (45%) and hands-on training (38%). Two in three (65%) respondents report difficulties retaining qualified cybersecurity professionals, a 14 percentage -point increase from 2021. The top reasons that India respondents believe cybersecurity professionals are leaving their jobs include:

  1. Poor financial incentives in terms of salary or bonus (51%)
  2. Limited promotion and development opportunities (50%)
  3. Recruited by other companies (47%)
  4. High work stress levels (38%)
  5. Lack of management support (38%)

Skills gaps and mitigation

Respondents from India indicate they are looking for a range of skills in candidates, noting the top skills gaps they see in today’s cybersecurity professionals are soft skills (53%), cloud computing (48%)—a new response option for this question—and security controls implementation (42%). Soft skills is also the second-highest skills gap cited for recent graduates (after security controls), and has seen an 11-percentage-point increase in perception as a skills gap among Indian respondents since 2021.

The top three most required security skills are cloud computing (51%), identity & access management (45%) and data protection (44%). Among the top soft skills deemed important are critical thinking (53%), communication (52%) and problem solving (44%).

Fifty-nine percent of respondents in India believe that less than half of their applicants are well qualified for the position for which they are applying. India-based respondents note that their organisations are undertaking multiple measures to decrease cybersecurity skills gaps such as training to allow non-security staff who are interested to move into security roles (58%), increased use of reskilling programmes (44%), increased usage of consultants and external staff (38%), and increased use of performance-based training (36%).

Speaking at a press briefing to unveil the report, Chris Dimitriadis, ISACA Chief Global Strategy Officer, said, “Challenges in hiring and retaining cybersecurity professionals have impacted organizations around the world for years, and have only become more complex amid the pandemic and larger shifts in the global workforce. ISACA is addressing those challenges globally by building a workforce of digital trust professionals, who have more holistic and correlated views from the adjacent professions of cybersecurity, IT audit, risk, privacy and digital technology governance, while also offering state of the art tools in cyber maturity assessments.”

R.V Raghu, ISACA Ambassador in India and past ISACA board director, added, “A strong cybersecurity workforce with cutting-edge skills is essential in the face of evolving technology and an ever-changing cyber threat landscape to support much needed digital trust. Hands-on training, credentials, networking and sharing best practices through the cybersecurity community globally and in India, including through organisations like ISACA, can help cybersecurity professionals in India not only strengthen their skillsets and keep advancing their careers, but also ensure they are keeping their enterprises protected against the latest cyber threats.”

It’s important to understand the trends across the community over time as well as how one’s organisation compares. This is necessary information to help advance the field as a whole, and we’re proud to be a part of sharing and disseminating these insights,” says Mary Yang, Chief Marketing Officer at Looking Glass Cyber Solutions. “Looking Glass is thrilled to support the cybersecurity community by partnering with ISACA on this report.”

Threat Landscape

This year, 33% of respondents in India indicate that their organisation is experiencing more cyberattacks compared to a year ago. When asked about their main concerns related to cyberattacks, organisational reputation (86%), data breach concerns (78%) and cyber-attack on supply chain or business disruption (63%) rank top of mind for India-based respondents. They also indicated that the top types of cyber-attacks they experienced in the past year include:

  • Advanced persistent threats (18%)
  • Ransomware (14%)
  • Denial of services (13%)
  • Injection flaws (12%)
  • Sensitive data exposure (12%)

Despite the threats they face, 79% of respondents in India indicate they are confident in their organisation’s cybersecurity team’s ability to detect and respond to cyber threats.

Cyber maturity

When it comes to cyber risk assessments, 77% of respondents based in India say their organisation currently assesses its cyber maturity. Eighty-six% say their executive leadership team sees value in conducting a cyber risk assessment and 35% say their organisation performs a cyber risk assessment every 1-6 months.

Cybersecurity Budgets

While 48% of respondents in India opine that their cybersecurity budgets are appropriately funded, 31% perceive their budget is underfunded, compared to 54% globally. Fifty-nine percent of India respondents expect some level of increase in cybersecurity budgets, while only 17% of respondents in India, almost half of the global number of 38%, expect no change in budgets.

The survey features insights from more than 2,000 cybersecurity professionals around the globe, and examines cybersecurity staffing and skills, resources, cyber threats and cybersecurity maturity. A complimentary copy of the State of Cybersecurity 2022 survey report can be accessed at www.isaca.org/state-of-cybersecurity-2022, along with related resources.
