MINNEAPOLIS—Diversified Plastics, Inc. According to Plastic News, the Excellence in Employee Relations Award is given to companies that excel in this individual category of the Processor of the Year Award. Winners were announced February 26 at the annual Plastic News Executive Forum in Naples, Fla.

Citing their industry-wide reputation as an employee-first company, Diversified Plastics, Inc. Hanover, MA, March 18, 2020 -- Experts continue to learn about the COVID-19 every day. Tens of thousands also die from preventable mistakes outside hospitals, such as deaths from missed diagnoses or because of injuries from medications.

A recent Johns Hopkins study claims more than 250,000 people in the U.S. die every year from medical errors. Other reports claim the numbers to be as high as 440,000.

Medical errors are the third-leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer. Advocates are fighting back, pushing for greater legislation for patient safety.
