ALO Bariatrics is now proud to announce their partner hospital, Centro Médico Puerta de Hierro now has the support of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

Guadalajara, Mexico | June 17th, 2020 -- Those who wish to get bariatric surgery in Mexico can now do so at a Mayo Clinic affiliated hospital.

Many patients seek bariatric surgery in countries like Mexico in order to get high quality care, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and have their surgeries performed by US-trained surgeons, all without the high costs associated with American hospitals.

ALO Bariatrics is now proud to announce their partner hospital, Centro Médico Puerta de Hierro now has the support of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

The Mayo Clinic Care Network is a select group of independent health systems that all work closely with Mayo Clinic. This way, these hospitals can provide higher quality healthcare and serve their patients and communities more adequately.

"By providing a second medical opinion, we at Centro Médico Puerta de Hierro are now capable of providing our patients the advantage of broader diagnostic results supported by the advice and expertise of Mayo Clinic. Mayo Clinic specialists are not only prestigious in the U.S., but around the world," says Alejandro Gil Luna, general director, Centro Médico Puerta de Hierro.

Mayo Clinic, one of the world’s most well-renowned hospitals and home to the world’s best doctors and researchers, founded the Mayo Clinic Care Network in order to improve the delivery of care in hospitals worldwide. Hospitals that are part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network get special access to the extensive knowledge and medical expertise that Mayo Clinic has developed over a century.

This includes eConsults, which allows for partner hospitals to ask Mayo Clinic specialists about a specific patients care; AskMayoExpert, which gives partners access to Mayo’s own information on treatment and care guidelines and protocols; and Inpatient Telephone Consults, which allows for providers to ask questions about a hospitalized patient that needs urgent intervention.

Overall, Centro Médico Puerta de Hierro’s membership in the Mayo Clinic Care Network gives patients the peace of mind knowing that they’re being cared for by Mayo Clinic vetted experts and get the support of one of the world’s leading hospitals.

To celebrate this announcement, ALO Bariatrics in Guadalajara is now offering a $200 discount for cash payment on any of their procedures. Visit bariatricsurgeries.com to take advantage of this announcement, or call at (844) 461-2831 to schedule a free weight loss surgery consultation!

Naperville, IL, 1 June 2020 -- Sarah Marshall, CTA®, of TravelAble in Naperville, recently earned the distinguished Certified Travel Associate, or CTA, designation from The Travel Institute, the travel industry’s benchmark for educational excellence and the only travel organization offering certification for travel professionals’ varying levels of expertise.

“Earning my elite certification status not only demonstrates my commitment to life-long learning, but also a commitment to my clients who will be better served because of my increased knowledge and skills,” said Marshall.

The Certified Travel Associate, CTA®, designation is awarded by The Travel Institute to travel professionals who complete a rigorous training program, including closed-book, proctor-administered testing, to demonstrate extensive industry knowledge and experience and the highest standards of travel professionalism. In addition, CTAs are required to fulfill stringent continuing education requirements each year.

Sarah Marshall has been a travel counselor for 2 years and has sent more than 75 clients on vacation experiences around the world. TravelAble specializes in custom designed accessible adventures for families and individuals. She was inspired to start TravelAble when her son was born in Israel in 2009 and had to spend 5 months in the NICU there. Learning the ropes of traveling with a child with medical needs and autism taught Marshall and her family a lot of lessons about what accessible travel really entails.

“Many potential travelers who meet with me have asked what accessible means,” explained Marshall. “Accessible to TravelAble means those tools, those destinations, those supports that you as a traveler need to access the vacation.” Marshall provides a lot of guidance through the planning process, as well as individualizing every vacation so it meets a traveler’s exact needs.

“We spend a lot of time building relationships with accessible travel providers on the ground in countries such as France, Italy, Costa Rica, Singapore, and so many more,” Marshall notes. “Whether you want a cruise or a bucket-list trip, we design the fully accessible vacation of your dreams.”

Marshall’s other professional recognitions include Certified Autism Travel Agent (IBCCES), Certified Leisure Travel Agent (TLN), as well as being a proud member of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) and the Family Travel Association (FTA).

Boston, MA, Jun 17, 2020 -- Today, Viamark Video, a video production and video marketing company located south of Boston in Marshfield MA, announced the launch of Creative for a Cause, a new nonprofit-focused division that provides story-based video initiatives. The mission is to drive change through compelling story-sharing for the healthcare, nonprofit, cause-related, and NGO industries that make a difference in their respective communities.

Creative for a Cause founder Glenn Anderson says video combined with story-based advocacy has been an effective way for his clients to help their communities in the immediate sense while inspiring others to follow suit. “Our goal is to create both motivation and ongoing momentum through unique storytelling for our clients,” says Anderson. “We’ve been helping clients with their creative content and advertising for almost 20 years but are now hyper-focused on our true passion. We’re going all-in on healthcare, nonprofit and cause-related marketing.”

“Creative for A Cause is more than a catchphrase”, says Anderson. A longtime professional in the video production and video marketing industry, Anderson explained that wanting to help the community through cause-related storytelling is a passion rooted in a core belief that all of us have some unique way to help make the world a better place starting in our communities. “We want to inspire and motivate millions of people, and I believe it can be done by using story-based video content with a strong video distribution strategy.”

Some of the company’s recent causes include The Guild for Human Services, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Sports Medicine, Bradford Health Services and Shields Healthcare. In April, Bradford Health (a drug and alcohol recovery center) posted a new “Welcome” video to their website and social media. That one video generated over 180 phone calls and 40 patients in just one month. “Those were all people in need of immediate help…and we can do so much more,” Anderson said. “This is just a drop in the proverbial bucket.”
