New York, NY, Oct 18, 2020 -- New York Local Talent and Top Scorer Football Player 2017-2018 Season Third Division Spanish Club U.D. San Pedro gearing up to join a new professional team. John D. Rogers discovered that he wanted to play football at the age of three. The first team he trained with was Avril in Floral Park, New York in 2003.

His idols include legends such as Pele, Ronaldo (Brazilian), Zidane, Henry, Cruyff, Van Basten, Giggs, Scholes, David Beckham, Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, up to modern day Legends like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

As a freshman in high school I played the right back position for the Varsity Soccer team of Elmont, NY. During this time I single handedly help shut out and save almost more goals than the goalkeeper. As time progressed forward, in England I was repositioned back to my original “Winger” position. Just to clarify, right back is the right defender for your team, right wing is usually a forward position (someone who is set to score or assist in the play making of the goal).

In England, I found myself being quickly moved up to the senior first team at the age of 19. Going on to score 5 goals and having 11 assists. This led to me seeking attention from a Football Academy located in the South of Spain.

Although given significant interest in Spain, landing as the league’s Top Scorer in 2017-2018 seasons. He went on to have 20 league goals and 33 season goals. This brought interest from 2nd Division Clubs in Greece which is where I may be heading next.

Trustco Group Holdings continues to be a pillar of strength for the Namibia Tennis Association (NTA) as it once again renders its unwavering support to upcoming Juniors Tennis Tournaments.  Through the continued support of junior tennis over the years, Trustco Group has ensured that the development and standard of tennis in Namibia has steadily grown. The little titans will continue their duels in the first Trustco sponsored tournament this year, scheduled for the weekend of 9 to 10 October 2020.

Junior tennis has endured its own difficulties this year, with many tournaments and matches being either cancelled or postponed due to the ongoing regulations around the global Covid-19 pandemic. In the midst of it all, the junior players did not hold back on their training nor their competitiveness, regularly turning the tables on each other, with not one player dominating tournament circuits noticeably throughout this year.  This is testament to how the game of junior tennis has grown over the last couple of years. Head of Corporate Communications at Trustco, Neville Basson said, “Our tennis players have shown that not even a pandemic or unusual conditions deter them from reaching their full potential. We, as Trustco, will be with them all the way in reaching the pinnacle of their potential in a very difficult year. We sincerely hope that a lot of the good energy and inspiration Roger Federer brought to our players earlier this year will rub off onto our young ones in the future.”

“With a high number of entries expected for this upcoming tournament, we foresee a weekend of passion and grit from our players, eagerly supported by their enthusiastic parents,” an excited Chairperson of Junior Tennis Namibia, Santie van der Walt, stated. “Trustco has always been a trusted partner year in and year out, making sure that top quality players come through the ranks. This is for sure quite an appetizer for the final Trustco Junior Masters Tournament that will follow in less than a month’s time. Thank you once again Trustco, your visionary investment in the youth is surely paying dividends on the courts!”

Trustco Group wishes all players well - give your very best and above all, enjoy yourselves! We urge all parents to keep supporting your little ones. Your support brings value to them that money cannot buy.   As an equal partner in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, lets ensure as players and tennis enthusiasts that we abide by the rules and regulations set up to ensure our safety for this landmark event.

The different venues earmarked for this tournament are as follows:

Police Courts

CTC Courts

The chance of future football stars being Asian players has improved with news of an innovative partnership signed between Welsh football, UK and Karhya International Football Academy (KIFA).

Bristol, September 28, 2020 -- To benefit many grassroots players in India and the rest of Asia, Karhya International Football Academy (KIFA) has signed an innovative deal with the Football Association of Wales (FAW) Trust, UK. It will mean not only more opportunities for Indian football players to develop their skills, but also improved support for anyone in the country who wants to develop football coaching proficiency. It is hoped that other Asian countries will get on board with KIFA to take advantage of its valuable international contacts and support.

David Adams, Technical Director of the Football Association of Wales, UK has said that he was delighted to partner with Karhya International Football Academy (KIFA) to develop football talents in Asia.

KIFA spokesperson Prabu K added: "Creating football grassroots development opportunities across nations like this can be of mutual benefit. Importantly for Asian countries, it provides far greater access to football coaching badges, programmes to develop player skills and football trials. Would like to request Asian education, sporting and community bodies to get in touch with team, KIFA, to see how they can benefit from these opportunities.”

The new partnership between KIFA and the FAW Trust means that alongside player and coach development programmes (based on British international football training standards) other programmes to promote careers in football can now be created in Asia. The deal will also open the door for International Football Internships as well as joint events, seminars and tournaments.

Background to the partnership

KIFA is an English football academy with a firm foothold in India. It benefits from the involvement of both ex-English football league players, and Indian football veterans. The organisation supports football excellence in both India and England.

Facilitated by Lurnable, UK, this new tie-up with the Welsh football infrastructure is an important milestone in KIFA’s ability to deliver its programmes – benefiting communities, schools, colleges, universities and local football academies and leagues.

Wales is world-renowned for its rugby prowess, but also has a long and prestigious record in the world of competitive football. The Football Association of Wales can trace its origins back to 1876 – making it the third-oldest football association in the world.

In 2016, it became the smallest nation by population to reach the UEFA European Championship semi-finals. Just one of a long list of accomplishments, including qualifying for UEFA Euro 2020.

The Football Association of Wales is the governing body of football and futsal in the country and manages the Wales National team (men and women). It is a member of FIFA, UEFA and IFAB.

The Trust is the charitable arm of the FAW, established to promote football through community support, player development and improved access to coaching.

Mike Trout of Los Angeles and Freddie Freeman of Atlanta were selected as A.L. and N.L. Players of the Month, respectively, while Charlie Morton of Tampa Bay and Max Scherzer of Washington earned League Pitcher of the Month honors.

Tampa Bay (53-34, 9.5 game lead over New York), Cleveland (54-32, nine games ahead of MInnesota), Houston (MLB-best 56-28, six games ahead of Oakland), Washington (51-35, six games better than Atlanta) and Los Angeles (57-29, 8.5 lengths past San Diego) remain atop their respective divisions, while Milwaukee (45-39) moved into the N.L. Central lead with a 14-11 month, percentage points ahead of Chicago (46-40), a game ahead of St. Louis and four better than Cincinnati in the tightest division race to date. Strat-O-Matic updates results and standings daily at www.strat-o-matic.com/2020-season-simulation/.

Trout earned the A.L. honors by hitting .327 with 10 home runs and 24 RBI in the month, while posting a 1.136 OPS. Freeman was even better, slashing .378/.461/.724 for a 1.185 OPS in June. The wild card races are very tight in both leagues, with Oakland (51-35) in first place in the A.L., Minnesota (45-41) one game up on Kansas City (44-42) for the second spot, two ahead of New York (43-43), 2.5 up on Los Angeles (42-43) and three ahead of Boston (42-44). “Just like on the field, the teams have started to separate themselves at the top of each division, but there are still close races and unexpected results in the Strat-O-Matic simulation of the season,” said Hal Richman, Strat-O-Matic founder. “With some of the league’s superstars like Mike Trout, Max Scherzer and Clayon Kershaw among the leaders along with newer faces in Shogo Akiyama, Nick Madrigal and Keston Hiura, the last three months of the season should be as exciting and interesting as the first three have been.”

About Strat-O-Matic

Strat-O-Matic was invented by 11-year-old Hal Richman in his bedroom in Great Neck, N.Y. in 1948 as a result of his frustration with the statistical randomness of other baseball board games. He discovered that the statistical predictability of dice would give his game the realism he craved. Over the next decade, he perfected the game at summer camp and then as a student at Bucknell University. After producing All-Star sets in 1961 and ‘62, he parlayed a $5,000 loan from his father (and made a deal that if it didn’t work out he would work for his father’s insurance company) into the original 1962 Strat-O-Matic Baseball season game. Needless to say, Hal never had to take a job with his father.

Strat-O-Matic, based in Glen Head, NY and on the Internet at www.strat-o-matic.com, manufactures the top selling sports board games and realism/stats sports digital games. The Company publishes baseball, football, basketball and hockey games to play both on and off your computer and mobile screens. “Strat-O” games are known throughout the sports community for their statistical realism and accuracy. The Company has the world’s greatest sports game stat libraries with top-of-the-line seasons dating back to the early 1900’s. At the start of the 2016 MLB season, Strat-O-Matic introduced Baseball Daily, its first product featuring digital player cards that update every day to reflect real life current player performance as the season progresses.

The Company has a loyal celebrity following including a bevy of sports broadcasters such as Bob Costas, Jon Miller and Dan Shulman, former MLB’ers Keith Hernandez, Doug Glanville and Cal Ripken Jr., and sports super fans including Drew Carey, Ben Bernanke, Bryant Gumbel, Spike Lee and Tim Robbins.
