Diabetes Management App, Klinio, Shares the Most Popular Recipes Saved by Patients with Diabetes

The diabetes management app, Klinio, has identified the most popular meal options that patients with diabetes consume in their everyday life, helping them manage their condition.

Klinio is now sharing these recipes with consumers.

Kristina Zalnieraite, who heads nutrition with Klinio, says these are meals that are proven to help patients with diabetes who need to keep their glucose under control.

“Our data team went through more than 20 thousand Klinio meal and recipes, looking for the most saved items by users,” said Zalnieraite. “These are meals and recipes that our users say they love the most. And now we’re sharing some of these recipes with everyone who wants to get healthier with a meal plan that actually tastes good.”

A recent Klinio survey found “bad eating habits” was the behavior preventing patients from successfully managing their diabetes. That same survey found carb management and sugar cravings are the top two biggest obstacles for patients trying to manage their diabetes.

Zalnieraite says these recipes will not only help patients with diabetes, but are also valuable for anyone watching their calories or carb intake.

“These recipes were originally created for patients with diabetes and prediabetes, but everyone can benefit from these healthy recipes,” said Zalnieraite. “If you’re watching your weight or carb intake, these meals will help you too. They are easy to make and follow on a daily basis, and taste great.”

The information, available via a web application, includes GPS tracking, traffic and weather conditions, best and alternative travel routes, delays and more. The system also provides real-time map updates.

“MediGO’s platform significantly enhances our ability to know where an organ is at all times and get real-time updates to transplant center staff. This improves communication among teams, results in better organ recipient outcomes and ultimately helps us save more lives,” said Sherry Quire, director of organ services at Indiana Donor Network.

Indiana Donor Network currently utilizes 15 MediGO tracking devices to monitor organs in transit throughout the state.

Indiana Donor Network joins a growing list of organ procurement organizations to innovate tracking and communication during organ shipments.
