LaTribuna Christian Publishing Reports on How to Lower The Numbers of Preventable Medical Mistakes

Phoenix, AZ, March 18, 2020 -- The Journal of Patient Safety recently published a study which concluded that as many as 440,000 people die each year from preventable medical errors in hospitals. Tens of thousands also die from preventable mistakes outside hospitals, such as deaths from missed diagnoses or because of injuries from medications.

A recent Johns Hopkins study claims more than 250,000 people in the U.S. die every year from medical errors. Other reports claim the numbers to be as high as 440,000.

Medical errors are the third-leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer. Advocates are fighting back, pushing for greater legislation for patient safety.

LaTribuna Christian Publishing's CEO Chaplain Paul Vescio is quoted saying, “The need for additional screening of people who are visiting and working in America's healthcare industry is vital in saving lives. If the people at the front desk would just ask a few simple questions before allowing entry into a healthcare setting thousands of lives per year would be saved. Here are some of the questions needed to be asked, Do you have the flu? Are you sick even with a cold? And, Do you have any infectious illnesses? If so they are asked to leave if not seeking treatment and or given a mask and hand sanitizer. Each day there are thousands of visitors who come and go from hospitals, care centers, nursing homes, medical rehabs etc. Visitors which include medical staff, maintenance workers, EMTs, family and friends, delivery personal and administrative staff etc. If all of these people were properly screened at the front door many lives would be spared each year. Many Nursing homes, care centers, medical rehabs, and other healthcare providers do not have the same screenings that hospitals do and sadly most hospitals do a very poor job of screening visitors and employees for illnesses."

LaTribuna Christian Publishing recently visited Core Medical Center in Phoenix Az and this sign was in the front lobby.

Visitation Restrictions
- Visitors 12 years and under are not able to enter the hospital in an effort to help reduce the spread of the flu and other respiratory illnesses.

Visitors Of All Ages
Please do not visit the hospital if you are experiencing any of these symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with them.
- Fever over 100% Cough
- Runny nose Sore Throat
- Diarrhea Rash
- Please wash your hands before and after visiting.
- Thank You for helping to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Chaplain Paul Vescio was also quoted saying, “Signs like this one have got to be placed in all healthcare settings across the nation as soon as possible in-order to lower the numbers of preventable medical mistakes and save lives. All visitors, staff, maintenance, and medical personal have got to be properly screened even to the point of scanning their temperature in some cases before they are allowed entry. All those who are sick or have a fever are to be refused entry. The Bible teaches us that we are to treat others as we would want to be treated and to love thy neighbor as thy self and to be good Samaritans towards each other. I can think of no better way in applying these important Godly words of wisdom then to stand up and fight in making American healthcare more safe, compassionate, efficient, affordable and loving for us all. Amen.”

Chaplain Paul is also quoted saying, “Mr. President, please put these important healthcare precautions in place in-order to lower the numbers of preventable medical mistakes in American healthcare and save lives. Mr. President with the coronavirus now at America's doorstep it is imperative that these added precautionary procedures be implemented.”

LaTribuna Christian Publishing is dedicated to fighting for a more safe, fair, affordable. efficient and compassionate healthcare system in America. For more information please visit our web-sites at www.miraclesofkingman.com and www.latribunachristianpublishing316.com

NRS Offers Access to Its Digital AD Network to Provide Public Health Updates for the Covid 19 Crisis

NRS Offers Health Agencies Access to Its Digital Advertising Network to Provide Critical Public Health Updates During the Covid-19 Crisis

Newark, NJ, March 14, 2020 -- National Retail Solutions (NRS), the operator of a leading nationwide point-of-sale (POS) network for independent retailers, announced that it is offering public health agencies complimentary access to its digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising network to disseminate critical public health announcements during the Covid-19 outbreak.

“Our retailer partners are concerned by the potential of the Covid-19 outbreak to impact their businesses. However, they are even more worried by what the virus may mean to the health of their customers and their families,” said Elie Y Katz, President of NRS. “To support these independent retailers and the urban communities they serve across the country, we are offering governmental public health agencies the ability to display PSAs free of charge on the 8,000 plus screens of our NRS Digital Media Impact Network to share critical public health information, updates and advisories.”

Eli Korn, COO of NRS, explained, “The majority of our retail partners serve multicultural, immigrant-dense metropolitan areas across the U.S. These are among the most hard-to-reach and culturally diverse communities in the country. Within these communities, bodegas and independent neighborhood convenience stores often serve as informal community centers where customers share news and information. We invite governmental public health agencies to utilize our digital display network to help keep these communities advised of evolving public health advisories and critical healthcare and safety information.”

The NRS Digital Media’s Impact Network reaches approximately 35 million people per month, predominantly in the nation’s urban centers. The Impact Network’s display screens are located at eye-level at the point of sale in 8,000+ independent convenience, grocery, liquor and tobacco stores nationwide. Unlike most conventional advertising venues, NRS has the ability to provide updated content on demand through its Impact Network as new health information becomes available.

NRS can run 8-10 second static or video advertising as part of a 60-second loop. PSAs and advertisements can be run in any language, and NRS can provide agencies with information on language and demographics regionally and for specific stores. Advertising is visual only (without sound).

NRS is offering this public service to governmental public health agencies for the remainder of the month of March 2020 and may extend the offer at its discretion as conditions warrant. This offer is contingent upon, and subject to, limitations based on network capacity, appropriate volumes, and content at the sole discretion of NRS.

10 Tips For Coronavirus COVID 19 Safety Preventive Measures from Coronavirus in india

Preventive Measures from Coronavirus

Coronavirus threatening spread in India, here's how you can keep yourself safe from the plague.

As of now, a vaccine has not been invented for the coronavirus. For a fact, prevention appears to be the best cure available so far.

Here are some  measures you need to take:

1.

Avoid any close contact with a person who is ill. Keep at least three feet of distance between yourself and a person who is sneezing or coughing.

2.

Avoid touching your mouth, nose, and eyes.

3.

Stay at home when you feel sick.

4.

Cover your mouth while coughing or sneezing with a tissue, then dispose of the tissue safely.

5.

Disinfect and clean regularly-touched objects and things using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

6.

Applying a mask is not compulsory unless you are taking care of an affected person. The Centers for Disease 52 Control does recommend that only infected persons wear masks to prevent the spread of the plague.

7.

Wash your hands often with water and soap for more than 20 seconds, mostly after going to the washroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

8.

If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water when hands are dirty.

9.

If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately.

10.

Keep in mind the travel China/13 advisory set out by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Sensabues and RCU Labs Partner to Launch the First Accurate Test for Recent Use of Cannabis

Sensabues breath collection technology integrated into RCU Labs’ Test to determine recent cannabis use.

Stockholm, Sweden and Roseville, California, USA., March 6, 2020 -- Sensabues AB (“Sensabues”), a leading provider of breath collection technology for detection of drugs, doping and diseases, today announced that it has partnered with RCU Labs, Inc. (“RCU Labs”), a leader in the development of a dual-matrix test for recent cannabis use.

The partnership will see Sensabues and RCU Labs combine their respective technologies to launch the first accurate Recent Cannabis Use Test (“RCU Test”) using breath collection. The new test solves one of the most scientifically elusive issues of the cannabis industry: how to determine whether an impaired driver or employee is under the influence of cannabis.

The RCU Test is the first reliable test method to accurately determine recent cannabis use within the impairment window. The RCU Test is a practical alternative to zero-tolerance and arbitrary tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) drug level policies.

Method

RCU Labs has developed a new pharmacological testing approach based on multiple parameters involving key cannabinoids and Delta9-THC metabolites in blood. The results of the blood test are able to determine recent cannabis use within six hours. To enhance the confidence levels of the RCU Test, RCU Labs has incorporated a second test matrix, exhaled breath, utilizing the patented, low-cost breath collection device from Sensabues. The breath sample can be collected roadside or at an incident site, while the blood sample can be collected at the same time or, if required, up to several hours later. Both the breath and blood samples are then sent to the lab and analyzed using established instrumentation techniques such as high-resolution mass spectrometry for confirmatory data and evidential results. Overall, this dual-matrix approach yielded 100% accuracy within the impairment window following smoking in the first 44 consecutive subjects that have been studied in a clinical trial to date.

Applications

This collaboration seeks to advance the application breakthrough achieved by the RCU Test (patents pending) for law enforcement, workplace drug testing and anti-doping in sport with regard to ease of use and deployment in the field, as well as analytical accuracy in the lab. The RCU Test has obvious applications for law enforcement (roadside DUI collection), for employers investigating workplace incidents (with cause and post-accident situations) and for anti-doping in sport (in-competition testing of athletes and players).

Partnership

Under this agreement, both parties will work to offer a full suite of approved RCU all-in-one and one-time-use test kits together with the validated RCU analytical lab services. Further joint development of RCU Labs’ method is planned to extend the offering to include a definitive recent-use test for other drug groups such as stimulants and performance enhancing drugs.

Notes to Editors

More about Sensabues’ exhaled breath method:

Exhaled breath contains aerosols which originate from lungs and blood. These aerosols contain revealing information for diagnostics, therapeutics and analytics. Sensabues owns the core IP for the design of a simple collection device and the validated methodology to collect, extract and detect the non-volatile substances present within these aerosols using electrostatic filter technology.

This technique is convenient, reliable and low cost. It is a non-invasive way to collect chemicals in breath for disease detection, exposure monitoring, and drug metabolism.

This is a highly sensitive, accurate and confirmatory, back-to-lab based technique, which has been developed into a complete end-to-end analytical platform for use in toxicology, pharmacology and clinical biochemistry that can lead to improved analysis, diagnostics and therapies for medical research, healthcare, law enforcement, criminal justice, schools, workplace drug testing and sports organizations.

About Sensabues AB:
Sensabues is a Swedish company with exclusive ownership of a novel method and device to detect non-volatiles in breath. Over 20,000 breath collection devices have been deployed across targeted applications/markets worldwide. There are over 35 technical papers published with data from multiple worldwide studies and large scale field trials by independent third-party labs, institutes, hospitals, clinics, prisons, schools, and sports authorities. To date, over 80 different drugs and compounds have been detected across 25 different categories of substances using this method. www.sensabues.com

About RCU Labs, Inc.
RCU Labs, Inc., was founded by an established team of eminent scientists, with an extensive background in clinical pharmacology, toxicology and molecular medicine, with the aim of developing new testing approaches to address a number of currently pressing problems facing law enforcement, governing bodies, employers and employees worldwide. RCU Labs, headquartered in Roseville, CA, is accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 international standard in chemical and forensic testing. The company currently has four patents pending that support the underlying technology behind the RCU Test. www.rculabs.com
