Texas PEO Consulting Firm Educates Readers On Self Funded Insurance

Dallas, Texas (release-news) January 9, 2020 - BenefitCorp, a Texas PEO consulting firm, recently posted a blog to educate employers on the importance and answers the question, what is self funded insurance? Self-funding happens when business owners take on the risk of giving their employees some healthcare benefits. Unlike fully-insured medical plans, self-funded insurance doesn't require companies to pay premiums to insurance providers.

Self-funding is also a long-term strategy that allows a business to have total control of its healthcare policy and allows employers to pick a plan that aligns with their specific needs by tailoring options for coverage to each of their employees. These employer-funded plans also let businesses directly pay for healthcare costs thanks to stop-loss insurance, which can help cover large claims. Stop-loss premiums and administrative fees are typically fixed monthly expenses associated with self-funded insurance plans. Employers will generally establish a trust fund to pay claims and enlist a third-party administrator (TPA) to process or examine these claims.

By resorting to self-funded insurance, business owners can save significantly in administrative costs associated with risk charges, claim reserves, state premium taxes and insurance provider profit margins. Companies can also organize their healthcare (and other benefits) plans around their unique needs. Among the benefits that can be self-funded are dental, vision, prescription drugs, short-term disability and health care (including HMO, PPO and POS). Employers also benefit from high control over cost-sharing, policy limits, retiree benefits and eligibility requirements.

Self-funded insurance is a great option for any company that is prepared to take on any type of predetermined financial risk and that has enough cash flow to deal with any potential high claims. Self-funding could be a good fit for businesses seeking to customize their healthcare benefits.

The PEO Consultants at BenefitCorp are extremely knowledgeable about self-funded insurance models and can help employers learn more about medical stop-loss and insurance captives, among other things. BenefitCorp has extensive experience in health, property and casualty, and compliance. It is located at 12655 N. Central Expressway, Suite 810, Dallas, Texas 75243. Vivaldi browser 2.10: Unwraps better site compatibility through user agent changes, adds more style

OSLO - Dec 19th, 2019: The Vivaldi browser releases its new version, Vivaldi 2.10 - addressing a significant issue of the user agent that will provide its users the best website compatibility while browsing. Users can also match and even schedule their browser themes with the operating system of their devices.

No "strings" attached: Better site compatibility with User Agent changes: Being a Chromium-based browser, Vivaldi should work on any website that works on Chrome. Yet, Vivaldi has faced the issue of "incompatible websites" far too often. This is because many websites that work perfectly in Vivaldi, actively block Vivaldi when its true name is "announced". Vivaldi is blocked for many reasons, and often by competitors, rivals and tech companies in a position of power. Blocking Chromium-based browsers has no technical merit in 2020, nor has it ever had.

Vivaldi users regularly encounter messages that they have to upgrade their browsers or the site will not work. Although Vivaldi has made workarounds for a few of these issues, this is happening on too many sites and some are hard to fix.

From this update onwards, users will be able to browse smoothly all those websites that claim to be incompatible with Vivaldi. This is because Vivaldi has changed its user agent string. Basically, the word `Vivaldi` is being dropped from the user agent string.

For the uninitiated, a browser sends its "user agent" to every website you connect to. A user agent is a string - that is, a line of text - identifying the browser to the web server, including the version number and operating system. Over time, the browser "user-agent" system has been abused with the practice of "browser sniffing" and a lot of ink has already been spilled on the reasons why the user agent string should not be used for such bad practices. In short, instead of making the Web accessible to everyone, regardless of which browser or device they are using, this has worked the opposite way.

"The primary reason to show Vivaldi in the user agent is a level of pride. That pride, however, is hurting us, as our competitors and others are using this to block us from their services," says Vivaldi CEO Jon von Tetzchner.

Match your themes with your operating system: Vivaldi already allowed users to schedule the ultra-customizable Vivaldi themes to change at their preferred time(s) - a unique feature that gives users to customize their even browser. Now users can get Vivaldi to work in concert with the themes of the operating system - to match light or dark theme (the latter being all the rage these days). Vivaldi can now follow the theme of OS too.

Other Improvements: Improvements in the Address Bar layout along with some tweaks in keyboard handling, improvements in toggling extensions, and significant quick commands performance improvements.
